Green Apple Power Snack

Green Apple Power Snack

Simple, quick, and filling. Snack time will never be the same. You can make this recipe with any available apples, but using a Granny Smith apple adds a crisp, tart bite to the snack. Apples fuel your body with antioxidants, soluble fiber (which can help drop cholesterol, control weight, and regulate blood sugar), vitamins A and C, trace amounts of iron, and more!

Small Mixing Bowl

Cutting Board

(Note: Use all organic, fresh ingredients if possible)

Serves 1

1/2 cup almond butter (use our recipe to make your own!)

1 Tbsp spirulina

1 green apple, sliced

Wash the green apple and slice it up. Mix together almond butter and spirulina. Spread half of this mixture on green apple slices. Save the rest for later or share!

Added tips you can choose to SuperCharge this recipe.

  1. Make it the Hulk Snack from SuperLife: The 5 Forces That Will Make You Healthy, Fit, and Eternally Awesome by adding 2 Tbsp chia seeds that have been soaked until puffed (15-30 minutes – or more if possible).

My husband and I appreciate your dedication to fair and sustainable.

Can you please tell us what brand of Spirulina you use?

Thank you so much for all you do.
