09 Jan A Totally Awesome Turmeric Smoothie
Below is a very simple, yet totally delicious recipe from my SuperLife kitchen to yours! Enjoy!
1 Cup Fresh Spinach (or 1/2 cup frozen)
1 Cup Almond Milk (You can use vanilla almond milk or add 1 tsp of vanilla to the recipe)
1/2 tsp Powdered Turmeric – (or 1 inch of fresh, peeled turmeric)
1/2 tsp Cinnamon – (or more to taste)
1 medium banana
1/2 cup pineapple
STEPS TO SOMETHING DELICIOUS
Wash the spinach if needed. Pour the almond milk into the blender. Add spinach leaves and banana. Lastly, shake in turmeric and cinnamon.
Blend 30 seconds to 1 minute (every blender is different) until there are no more chunks and it is as smooth as you like it!

- If you like your smoothies chilled, throw in 3-6 ice cubes when blending.
- Instead of using powdered turmeric, you can peel one to two inches of fresh turmeric and add it to your smoothie. Just wash your hands immediately and be very intentional about handling the turmeric (even the peels!) to avoid staining anything yellow.
- You aren’t limited to almond milk. Try this recipe with any milk you have on hand (coconut, hazelnut, cashew, etc.).
