Flea and Tick Collars | Fatal Conveniences™

Have you ever considered the potential harm of flea and tick collars?

Having a pet, specifically a dog or a cat is a dream and desire of many people all around the world…until we realize the  different fleas and pests that enjoy living on the skin of our furry companions. To avoid this, most pet owners turn to flea and tick collars…

While these collars are a popular method for preventing fleas and ticks from infesting our pets, recent studies have raised concerns about their safety. Many pet owners may not be aware of the risks associated with these collars, and my aim today is to shed light on this important issue.

We’ll explore the potential dangers of flea and tick collars, including the harmful chemicals they contain, their impact on pet health, the potential impact on human health, and how to choose safer alternatives.

My goal today is to provide you with a better understanding of the issue and what we can do to protect our pets. Whether you’re a seasoned pet owner or considering getting a new companion, this episode will provide valuable information to keep your pets safe and healthy.

Hi! I’m looking to see the list you said would be in the show notes for recommended or acceptable flea and tick products for both dogs and cats. can you please direct me to the right place? Thanks!

Thank you, Darin, for this episode. I began my natural flea and tick preventing journy in 2018 when my golden, Emma, was about a year old. I was already against most topical and collar methods due to the harm they cause to humans. But when Emma began having seizures from the oral flea and tick meds, it was a huge wake up call. Our vet recommended we continue with these toxic medications while adding seizure medications as well. I responded with, how about we remove the thing that’s causing the seizures in the first place!?!?
I’ve been using wondercide and dr. Mercola products ever since. Unfortunately, I live in a high tick populated area, so it’s nearly impossible to prevent them 100% I combat this with annual blood work and tick-bourne illness testing, as well as supplements from Four Leaf Rover to support their bodies. (I have two Goldens now).
I hope this helps someone out there who is struggling and I am open to any suggestions!
    Thanks for reading 🙂
